Downtown’s Gateway is a place we’ve all grown to know and love. But let’s face it, since City Creek has moved into town, it seems Gateway has become a bit of a ghost town. Don’t get us wrong, there are pops of buzz happening every now and then with events like Urban Arts Fest. Buttt… things are a changin’ for this iconic spot.
The Gateway was just acquired by a Phoenix based company named Vestar. The company owns and operates almost 50 open air retail areas across Arizona, California, and now Utah. Vestar has big plans for the Gateway. They want to turn it into a culture hub with hip restaurants and multiple entertainment options.
We have big hopes for the future of the Gateway. Can’t wait to see what is in store!
